A wonderful selection of fascinating objets d’art, wood and stone carvings, trinkets and clothing to make memorable mementos and gifts from your African safari.

The artwork is sourced from not just local artists, but also those of Central and West Africa. Also on offer are functional items such as hats, caps, beanies, scarves, postcards etc.

The curio shop can be found adjacent to the car park at the Heritage Safari Lodge.

Note: Whilst we love children at Zulu Nyala, for safety reasons there is an age restriction placed on game viewing activities. No child younger than 5 years of age will be allowed to go on a game drive.

NOTE: No drones or airborne photographic equipment will be allowed to be used on Zulu Nyala or surrounding game reserves.

Geotagging of photos needs to be disabled in order to protect our wildlife.

Experience the reserve in a different way on foot, with a experienced Ranger.

An opportunity for you to use all 5 of your senses to enjoy nature, taste the fruit of the Red Ivory Tree, hear the sound of branches cracking as a Black Rhino feeds, smell the freshness of the bush after a thunderstorm, see the awesome power of an Elephant as it pushes over trees to access the roots and feel the sand under your feet as you stroll bare foot through the river.

Located on the Heritage Safari Lodge property is our fascinating Zulu Cultural Village, here the residents still live and practice Zulu traditions as their ancestors did hundreds of years ago.

During your visit you can experience and enjoy:

• Traditional Zulu beer and spear making;
  
• Sangomas who read your future in the bones that they throw;
• Stick Fighting - the Zulu version of martial arts;
• Bead and basket making;
• The exciting high-kicking, rhythmic Zulu dancing.
